All 99 modules, one line each — the same descriptions the app shows in its add menu and quick-add palette. This page is generated from the module registry in the source code, so it always matches the build it documents.

- Oscillator
- Anti-aliased oscillator: sine/triangle/saw/square with pitch and FM inputs.
- FM Osc
- Two-operator FM (DX-style), 4x oversampled so high-index sidebands stay clean; ratio and index take CV.
- Supersaw
- Seven detuned saws (JP-8000 style) for huge unison leads and pads; detune and mix take CV.
- PWM Osc
- Variable-width pulse oscillator with a PWM input - an LFO here gives the classic moving-pulse sound.
- Wavetable
- Scans a bank of eight band-limited waveforms by Position + CV (PPG/Plaits lineage); mip-mapped tables stay alias-free up the keyboard.
- Poly Synth
- Self-contained 8-voice subtractive synth - play MIDI/QWERTY chords; osc into envelope-modulated filter, with cutoff/res/level CV.
- Resonator
- Karplus-Strong plucked string: trigger for plucks or feed audio to excite it; tuned by pitch CV.
- Sampler
- Record/playback looper: captures its audio input while Rec is high, then plays it back varispeed (Pitch CV) on Trig or loops; start point and level take CV.
- Noise
- White and pink noise with level CV - a source for percussion, wind, and sample & hold.
- Chiptune
- NES-style sound chip: fixed-duty pulses, bit-stepped triangle and LFSR noise; Gate hard-mutes like the real hardware. Proudly aliased.
- Granular
- Record up to 10s (Rec gate), then scatter it as a grain cloud: Position scrubs, Size/Density set the fabric, Spray blurs, Pitch transposes per grain.
- Kick
- Analog kick drum: swept sine with click and drive, switchable 808/909 character. Trigger to play.
- Snare
- Snare: tuned shell partials plus noise 'snappy'; Snappy balances body against the wires.
- Hi-Hat
- Metallic six-oscillator hat with separate closed (Trig) and open inputs; a closed hit chokes the open tail.
- Clap
- Hand clap: band-passed noise through the classic multi-pulse 'many hands' envelope.
- Tom
- Tom/drum: swept sine with skin noise; pitch CV turns one module into a melodic tom row.
- Cowbell
- 808 cowbell: two detuned squares through a resonant band-pass.
- Clave
- Clave/rimshot: a short damped sine ping with an inharmonic partial.
- Rimshot
- 808-style side-stick crack: two detuned clicks plus a noise snap, hard-clipped.
- Ride
- Ride cymbal: metallic cluster split into a bell 'ping' and high sizzle with a long tail.
- Crash
- Crash cymbal: metal cluster drowned in noise wash with a hard strike and a long, dark tail.
- Shaker
- Shaker: band-passed noise with a soft attack ramp - 'shh', not click.
- Conga
- Conga: damped sine with pitch drop and slap noise; Open rings, Slap barks, Muted thuds.
- Filter
- State-variable filter (LP/BP/HP) with resonance, cutoff CV and a Mod CV over the cutoff-CV depth.
- SVF
- State-variable filter with simultaneous LP/BP/HP/Notch outputs, per-sample cutoff CV for audio-rate FM, and Mod CV over the cutoff-CV depth.
- Ladder
- Four-pole resonant ladder, switchable Moog/Diode voicing; self-oscillates. Cutoff (1V/oct), resonance and drive all take CV.
- Para EQ
- Three-band EQ: low shelf, parametric mid (gain/freq/Q), high shelf; the mid frequency takes CV.
- Comb
- Tuned feedback comb filter: resonates at Freq and its harmonics (pitch CV, 1V/oct). Metallic and Karplus textures.
- Formant
- Vowel filter: three formant band-passes morphing A-E-I-O-U via the Vowel knob/CV. Talk-box and choral tones.
- Lowpass Gate
- Buchla-style low-pass gate: a vactrol opens filter and amp together for organic plucks. Ping to strike.
- Amp
- Amplifier (VCA): an envelope or LFO into CV shapes the level per note. With nothing in CV it simply passes at the Gain knob - it won't gate on its own.
- Mixer
- Four-channel mixer with per-channel level - sums audio or CV.
- Crossfade
- Morphs between A and B by knob + CV, linear or equal-power; works on audio or CV.
- Pan
- Equal-power panner: places a mono signal across L/R, with CV for auto-pan.
- Opto Comp
- LA-2A-style optical compressor: soft knee, program-dependent release, sidechain in and gain-reduction CV out.
- FET Comp
- 1176-style FET compressor: fast attacks, 4/8/12/20/All ratios, sidechain in and gain-reduction CV out.
- Multi Comp
- Multiband compressor: up to 8 bands (+/- on the panel), OTT-style upward mode, per-band outputs, Mix CV.
- Matrix
- 4x4 matrix mixer with attenuverting knobs (row in, column out). Cross-feed anything into anything - the feedback-patching workhorse.
- LFO
- Low-frequency oscillator (sine/tri/saw/square/random) for modulation; rate and depth take CV.
- ADSR
- Attack-decay-sustain-release envelope, triggered by a gate; all four stages take CV. Patch into a VCA or filter CV.
- Function
- Maths-style rise/fall slope: an envelope when triggered, an LFO when cycling, with an End-of-Cycle trigger out. Rise/fall/curve/level all take CV.
- Bernoulli
- Coin-toss gate: routes each trigger to A or B by probability - living, varying rhythms.
- Logic
- Gate logic (AND/OR/XOR/NOT): combine two clocks or gates into new rhythms.
- Sample & Hold
- Grabs the input voltage on each trigger and holds it (normalled to noise for random stepped CV).
- Random
- Clocked randomness: a probability gate, a fresh S&H voltage, and a bounded random walk. Prob and Step take CV.
- MSEG
- Draw your own envelope: up to 16 breakpoints in the on-module editor, looping free or tempo-synced, or one-shot from Trig. EOC out for chaining.
- Chaos
- Chaotic LFO: Lorenz attractor swoops, logistic-map staircases or a drunken walk - never repeats, always related. Slew rounds the edges; rate/chaos/slew take CV.
- Sequencer
- 8-step pitch/gate sequencer with reset; clock it to step through your notes.
- Seq 16
- 16-step CV/gate sequencer with forward/reverse/ping-pong/random playback directions.
- Gate Seq
- 8-step probability trigger sequencer: each step fires with its own chance - grooves with controlled chaos.
- Trig Seq
- Groovebox-grade step grid: four trigger lanes with per-lane lengths (polymeter), per-step probability (right-click) and ratchets (cmd-click).
- Euclid
- Euclidean rhythm: spreads Fills evenly across Steps, with rotation; Fills/Rotate take CV. Cycle out for chaining.
- Turing
- Looping random sequencer: Change morphs from a locked repeating CV loop to fully random; clocked.
- Clock
- Master clock with BPM and multiplier; Sync mode locks to the global transport so clocks start together.
- Clock Div
- Divides a clock by 2/3/4/5/7/8 simultaneously, with reset - the source of polyrhythms.
- Clock Scale
- Multiplies/divides an incoming clock (incl. x1.5, x2.5) staying phase-locked - dotted and triplet feels.
- Swing Clock
- Clock with shuffle: every second pulse lands late by the Swing amount - straight 16ths become a groove. Free or transport-synced.
- Burst
- One trigger in, a ratchet of 1-8 pulses out; Curve rushes or trails the spacing. Rolls, flams and stutters.
- Shift Reg
- Analogue shift register: each clock pushes the sampled CV down four outputs - melodies become canons. Input normalled to noise.
- Arpeggiator
- Hold a chord, get a pattern: up/down/up-down/played/random across 1-4 octaves, stepping on the transport or an external clock. Outputs pitch/gate/vel CV.
- Piano Roll
- Draw a looping clip (chords welcome) in the piano-roll editor; plays in sync with the transport. Voice 1 outputs pitch/gate/velocity; chords spread across four voices (V2-V4 pitch+gate).
- Attenuverter
- Dual scale + offset for CV: attenuate, invert, or add a constant; unpatched it's a manual CV source.
- Slew
- Slew limiter / glide: smooths CV with separate rise and fall; pitch CV here gives portamento.
- Quantizer
- Snaps pitch CV to a musical scale (major/minor/pentatonic...) in any key - turns random voltages into melody.
- Octave
- Transposes pitch CV by octaves/semitones and warps the volt-per-octave slope (microtonal).
- Rate
- Frequency scaler for CV: multiplies a rate/time by a chosen ratio (incl. x1.5, x2.5) for dotted/triplet timing.
- Chord
- Turns a root pitch CV into four chord voices (major, minor, 7ths...) with octave spread.
- Env Follow
- Extracts an amplitude envelope (and a gate) from any audio - for audio-reactive modulation.
- Comparator
- Outputs a gate when a CV crosses a threshold (with hysteresis) - derive rhythm from an LFO.
- Macro
- One Macro knob drives four CV outputs, each at its own bipolar depth - move many parameters with one gesture.
- XY Pad
- Draggable 2D controller with X and Y CV outputs (uni- or bipolar) - hands-on two-parameter morphing.
- Switch
- Sequential switch: a trigger steps the output between inputs (forward/pendulum/random). Route chords or sources on the fly.
- Scope
- Inline oscilloscope: visualises a passing signal with a zero-crossing trigger; doesn't alter it.
- Meter
- Stereo peak/RMS level meter with peak-hold; passes audio through. Park it before the Output.
- CV Math
- Two attenuverted inputs combined four ways at once: Sum, Mult, Min and Max outputs. Modulation glue.
- Track & Hold
- Follows the input while the gate is high, freezes otherwise - Sample & Hold's smoother sibling.
- Notes
- A sticky-note for the canvas: type anything, it saves with the patch. Annotate your patching for future-you.
- Spectrum
- Log-frequency spectrum analyser: passes audio through while drawing 20 Hz-Nyquist bars with dB scaling. Park it anywhere in a chain.
- Delay
- Feedback delay with CV over time (repeats track pitch), feedback and mix.
- Tape Echo
- RE-201-style tape echo: wow/flutter, tape saturation and repeats that darken each pass; time/feedback/tone/mix take CV.
- Chorus
- Classic chorus for width and shimmer, with rate, depth and mix CV.
- Phaser
- Sweeping phaser with CV over rate, depth, centre frequency and mix.
- Drive
- Oversampled soft-clipping overdrive; drive takes CV, with output level.
- Saturator
- Saturation modelling: tape/tube/console/diode curves with bias and tone; drive, tone and mix take CV.
- Distortion
- Harder distortion: hard clip, fuzz, foldback and rectify shapes with tone and drive CV.
- Wavefolder
- West-coast wavefolder: folds peaks back for added harmonics; fold depth and symmetry take CV. Best on sines.
- Bitcrush
- Lo-fi: bit-depth reduction plus sample-rate decimation, both CV-controllable.
- Ring Mod
- Ring modulator: multiplies the input by an internal (1V/oct) or external carrier for metallic tones.
- Reverb
- Six spaces in one: Classic, Small Room, Chamber, Hall, Cavern and Blackhole (near-infinite). Size sets decay; size/damp/mix all take CV.
- Flanger
- Swept short delay with feedback - from subtle comb shimmer to full jet engine. Rate/Depth/Mix CV.
- Pitch Shift
- Dual-tap delay pitch shifter, +/-12 semitones; Shift CV in octaves - an LFO warbles, a sequencer harmonises.
- Looper
- Gate-driven live looper: Rec sets the loop (up to 30s), Dub layers sound-on-sound with Decay, Clear wipes. Drive it from gates for hands-free looping.
- Shimmer
- Reverb with a pitch shifter inside the feedback loop - tails climb by Shift semitones every pass. Freeze locks an infinite, still-rising pad.
- Vocoder
- 12-band channel vocoder: a voice into Mod In shapes the carrier (internal saw with Pitch CV, or patch your own). Shift bends formants; Sibilance keeps consonants crisp.
- Audio In
- Brings your audio interface's input into the patch - process guitar, mic or line through the rack.
- Output
- Master output to your speakers, with level and a soft-clip safety limiter. Recording taps here.
- MIDI In
- Converts MIDI notes to pitch, gate and velocity CV (monophonic, last-note priority).
- Poly MIDI
- Polyphonic MIDI-to-CV: up to four voices, each with pitch + gate. Duplicate a voice chain and drive each from a voice for patchable polyphony.
- MIDI Out
- Pitch/Gate/Vel CV out to hardware MIDI (the output chosen in MIDI Sync) - drive your hardware synths from Resonode's sequencers and arps.
